So... what do bands do on days off? Well some may sleep, some may do laundry, and some may catch up on email. Well, not The Dollyrots! No way! We're out on the road and we're going to see everything we can! On our days "off" we have gone to the UFO museum in Roswell New Mexico, been "lost" on Burbon Street, saw ThE tHiNg, lurked outside Kurt Cobain's house, sipped tropical drinks in the sand, visited haunted houses, shopped for trinkets on Canal Street, enjoyed pedicures, jumped off cliffs into an Arizona lake, been to Union Star Cheese Factory, the Tobasco Factory and today... The Hershey Chocolate Factory!
It was pretty awesome. We learned about Milton Hershey, who was actually a cool guy who built the town of Hershey with his factory worker's comfort and happiness in mind. There are sweet little houses, tree lined streets, a huge ball park, an amusement park, and most of it was built during The Great Depression. Oh yeah and he cared deeply about kids... I mead he made candy!
The Hershey's Chocolate World tour was way better than the Tobasco tour... sorry Tobasco but it's true! It was like being at Dinney World of something! We rode in this little car and learned all about how chocolate is made from singing cows. Yep. Pretty cool. I think my favorite part was the free sample at the end.
OH Man... and guess what the best part is? We video taped the whole thing for you guys! Keep checking out our video's and you too might get to see the singing cows!
