Afro Samurai video game coming this fall... with Samuel L. Jackson and RZA

Namco Bandai Games announced this week that they'll be releasing the official video game for Afro Samurai, the Spike TV animated series that stars Samuel L. Jackson. The game will basically follow the same premise as the show where Afro travels the land to avenge his father's murder, but must go through a series Samurai masters to reach the top spot, which is where his father's murderer dwells.

Sam Jack voices both Afro and comedic relief character Ninja Ninja in the video game, and just like the TV series, RZA will provide the score for the game with exclusive tracks.

"Afro Samurai's unique mash-up of urban hip hop culture with traditional Japanese aesthetics and innovative combat mechanics provides a fresh new approach to the action adventure genre," said Todd Thorson, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for NAMCO BANDAI Games America. "Afro Samurai delivers an episodic experience with addictive, immersive and compelling gameplay that's literally dripping in style."
