Manuhunt 2 (Playstation 2)
The Manhunt series has been dogged by everyone for the last couple of years, but apparently Rockstar Games doesn't care. Earlier this year, Manhunt 2 was slapped with the "Adults Only" rating because of its graphic and gruesome violence. Rockstar made the necessary changes to get a "Mature" rating because consoles will refuse to support AO rated games. The game itself is a story-driven stealth game. You play as a mad man who escapes from a mental institution for the criminally insane. One of the first things you learn in the game is, of course, how to kill. You can stab a doctor with a syringe, cut an inmate's throat with a shiv, put a plastic bag over an agent's head to suffocate him or straight up box with an enemy. There's a variety of ways to take someone's life, but to get the most graphic gruesome stuff, you have to sneak around. For those of you who like the fast, action-packed, run n' gun type of games, Manhunt 2 will test your patience. For those of you who like to come up on enemies from behind and break their spines, slit throats, bash heads and whatnot, your bloodlust will surely be satisfied. Yeah, this one isn't for the children.
Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action (Xbox 360)
Scene It? LCA is based off the movie trivia DVD/board game of the same name. The game comes with four controllers and is designed to be played with a group of people. The game consists of a collection of over 1,800 questions about Hollywood's most famous films from the 50's to the 2000's. The questions range from watching a movie clip and being quizzed about it to naming movies from a list of the cast, a picture puzzle, or movie stills, along with "finish the quote"-type questions. You get points for not only answering correctly, but also how quickly you answer, how many questions in a row you answer, and for answering a question your competitor got wrong. It can make for some interesting games. The only downfall is the annoying announcer who's yelling and telling lame jokes throughout the game, and the poor graphics that look like they're straight from a Windows ‘95 computer game. Other than that, it's a fun game that keep you and your fam busy for hours.
