Wassup mi gente, a pleasure to be here. Let me introduce myself. My name is pattydukes. I'm Dominican and Puerto Rican, raised in the South Bronx. I'm a hip-hop head to the fullest, and love my community, where i come from.... I'm a staff writer for Kicksclusive Magazine, a host for En La Escena (www.enlaescenatv.com), creator & host of my own show called The PattyDukes Show. I'm an artist and an activist. I'm also an emcee. So it's only fitting that i write my first blog today, on the anniversary of Martin Luther King jr. and guess what, it's also Rephstar's birthday. I went to a protest outside of Time Warner building in Columbus Circle (NYC) against Lou Dobbs and those negative statements that are being made about immigrants, & Latinos in the USA. It's a dangerous world that we are living in, when people threaten to close the borders and build walls as tall as skyscrapers. How can we sit back? I think it's important for people to to use their voices. Let's find a way to solve all these problems creatively. Without attacking each other and insulting each other, or making the poor people the scapegoats in this situation. Lou Dobbs heard the commotion and actually came outside. He sipped his Starbucks and just shook his head from side to side, we were all freezing..today was one of the coldest days in NY. He came right up to us to hear what we had to say.but was quickly escorted back into his building where he was safe and warm. while the mass of people were left outside screaming the truth in the cold. The faces of the poor, the young, the young of the city. The forgotten.  I took a picture as he walked away on my sidekick. It was kinda cool to hear all the people screaming 'Fuck You!' ...hey i guess you don't wanna piss off a bunch of tired, over worked and under paid new yorkers. 

So i hope to bring to siTV some truth, flava, passion and fashion yo! Because I still love a great pair of sneakers, and i even went into the Cole Haan store and saw some of the new spring 2007 stuff, not bad. Who says, when the revolution comes you can't be fly?
