From reading my previous blogs I’m sure you already know that I’m a big Broadway fan. So I have yet the latest news about what’s going on the great white way.

As may know American Idol’s FANTASIA hit broadway when started doing The Color Purple early this year. I have to admit I saw when LaChanze was in it (who also got the Tony for it) and I have not seen it with FANTASIA. But from what I hear she is blowing the roof off and she’ll be leaving soon (Cha Ka Kahn will be joining the cast). When I saw it, LaChanze was amazing and her acting was off the hook. I’m afraid that if I were to see it again with Fantasia, the singing will still be good but the acting might ruin it for me. Also, another fellow Amaerican Idol Taymara Grey made her Broadway debut in Andrew Lloyd Webbers “Bombay Dream” a few rears ago (that was also off the hook) and now she’s back as Mimi in “RENT”.

Now I know this might sound cheesy but I’m a little excited to say that another American Idol is making his way to Broadway and I don’t care who makes fun of me but I am looking forward to it. It is Clay Aiken who’s doing the Broadway thing in January in the musical comedy “Spamolot”. Now why Spamolot, I’m, not sure why...I mean he’s got a great voice to do something more powerful and moving. But I’m going to see it anyway. And that is the latest on the American Idols on Broadway.
