Tis the season to be merry and think about Christmas' past. For me, I like to reminisce about the good old days, spending the Holidays with my extended family in the Bronx. While like my homie/ mentor Ivan Sanchez says "When you are broke, there is no such thing as a worst gift", I can remember some close contenders.

It's things like really bad gifts that create strong famial bonds, like the one between me and my cousin for example. I mean who else can empathize with you when your stepmother gives you a re-gifted pair of huge, barney colored granny panties, then your #1 prima who also got re-gifted by her? These are the ties that bond, and the experiences that make for great memories and blogs lol.

So, here is to family, the holidays, and relationships that started before you were even born. In celebration of that I give you our combined top 10 random/weird gift moments...

1. A white button down shirt, a size too small, which had baby blue embrodiery in the shape of an abstract bird.
2. White patent leather pocket book with a big metalalic blocked 3D looking "XOXO" on the front of purse and the
handles were intertwined patent leather and silver or metal

3. A fake sterling silver ring with fake emerald...came out of 25 cent machine
4. A maroon ribbed turtleneck..when I put it on, it was so poorly made the arms were winged to the body of the shirt and when I lifted my arms, the bottom of my shirt lifted over my breasts.
5. Grandma size Barney purple panties with black trimming
6. Regifted extra large blue ribbed polyester sweater (meanwhile I am a size small)
7. Horrid smelling no name perfume.
8. Fake silver necklace with a frog pendant. (was the frog supposed to represent the coqui? I don't know)
9. Bright red and green Chrsitmas theme satin pajama pant set.
10. Fruit of the loom socks/ underwear.
