Have You Met...

McCain's Historic VP Pick

Wow! You can definitely feel the excitement growing in anticipation of next weeks’ Republican National Convention in Minneapolis.

On the 88th anniversary of the 19th Amendment (in which women in the United States gained the right to vote), history was today made as Senator John McCain picked Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his Vice Presidential nominee.

Palin is new to Washington. She’s not a Washington insider like Obama’s VP pick Senator Joe Biden, who has been in Washington maybe even longer than you or I have been alive! But you know what’s even more amazing? She’s more experienced than Obama! She’s also younger and has record of accomplishments. Can you name me Obama’s major accomplishments in the U.S. Senate? Has Obama ever worked across party lines on major issues important to our community?

I applaud Senator McCain’s VP choice. Sarah Palin is a strong outspoken woman rivaling Hillary Clinton in character and strength. Many women were left disappointed after Obama tore Hillary apart. More than anything else though, many were enraged at the fact that Hillary was not even considered, or in political words “vetted” for the #2 spot on Obama’s ticket.

Palin has an amazing down to earth background. She’s the mother of 5 children, and has delivered on her promises to the people of Alaska by taking on corrupt politicians, oil companies, ending pork barrel spending, and passing ethics reform bills. She’s exactly the type of change Obama has been talking about. Too bad Obama can’t follow through on what used to be his campaign theme.

Washington is scared, because McCain-Palin is going to shake it up. Reform, Prosperity, Peace. We say no more special favors to special interests and unexplained campaign promises Obama. McCain-Palin together has real experience and the record to back up their straight talk.

This is going to be an historic election and I can’t wait to see it up close next week in Minneapolis with Si TV!
