There has only been one man in record to be of Latino / Hispanic / Spanish Descent / Mestizo, what ever the preference to label the man named Bill Richardson. He is the Governor of New Mexico, who announced in 2006 that he was running for President for the Democratic Party. Did that get too much media? nah!

In the film world I have not seen a Latino President, unless it is in their respective countries. Cameo representations of men Like Fidel and Hugo Chavez... Who? they are influential World leaders with notorious reputations.

Before you go off to another blog about sugar sweet politics and Polls about which celebrity should run for President. Let me leave you with a Question:

Why hasnt there been a Latino American President in the Movies?

In gender, Geena Davis represented women as competent Leaders in the Show Commmander in Chief (Which was cancelled after 18 episodes), In Race we had Chris Rock, James Earl Jones, and Morgan Freemen Representing as Presidents and ironically they are in power when there is some kind of universe catastrophy or a mistake made in the votes.

So Why? is it because we are the perpetual immigrant, not American (United States) Enough?

You see life immitates art and art immitates life, and that helps shape peoples perception. I doubt Barack Obama and even Hillary Clinton would be in today's calendar date, be going for the race of being PREZ, had it not been for Morgan Freeman and Geena Davis. It is because it was a gradual process of demonstration and helping the citizens visualize what could be, with the leadership a person of a different color and gender from the Presidents of the past and present.

The fact is that it shouldn't matter what is the genetic make up of a person to represent the people of the United States. What should matter is the individual's actions and what he or she will bring to the people. A progress a lifestyle where people can be FREE to be!

So maybe there should be a LATINA President in our lifetime, if you have seen how homes and major corporations are run by our beautiful and diverse mujeres you know that they couldn't be puppets, I would love to see that...
