Electoral College is not my Homeboy

So I always get into these heated arguments about voting and exactly what it means. I really believe the Electoral College is BS. Ive never had a fullfilling voting experience, I never felt like I was really making an important decision. I feel like voting for citizens is like when you give a baby a cell phone toy. You know it doesn't work but they dont know that. It looks the same, its makes a lil bit of noise and they feel like they are equal to you. Its the same thing with voting. It looks the same, it doesn't really work but it makes us look like we are responsible for who gets that seat in the White house, it makes a lil bit of noise and we feel like we are actually making a difference but realistically, its all up to the electoral college.
We have witnessed how the popular vote can sometimes not equal the electoral vote which is the one that counts. We saw it happen with AL Gore in 2000. He won the popular vote, the vote we all cast for him the public, the citizens. But the electoral collge was not reflective of that. And so we got Gov. Bush. What really matters is the "Swing States". States that can go either republican or democratic and there is no guarentee.
-"there are no incentives for campaigns to spend resources in states that are surely slanted to vote for a campaign."
So what does it really mean when we vote, especially if we already know what party our state is going to vote for. I sometimes think the only reason to vote is to register for jury duty. I mean thats really the only thing that has come out of me voting.
I am in no way trying to discourage people from voting, Voting is always good, but if we really want to make an impact, reform is whats really necessary. The electoral college does not represent us, they are not my homeboy. So praise George Carlin, cuz for years I feel like he is a prophet in disguise(in the less religous form of course) But the arguments he makes about politics and religion have the most reasonable ones I have ever seen anybody make in this country.

Yup!!! George Carlin is the Man....
Yup, my poor vote gets drowned in the opinion of the rest of the state I live in.
I agree homie. Did you see his recent show "It's Bad For Ya"? TIGHT!
