Some people tend to think littering isn't a big deal. Well, it's a Texas size problem, literally! Somewhere in between San Francisco and Hawaii there is a Texas size pile of trash sitting in the middle of the ocean growing bigger and nastier day by day. This is a very serious problem and it is affecting the marine life drastically! It turns out that most of that garbage is plastic. So for all you people that think recycling is only for the tree hugging hippie, think again!! It's true that recycling is a real pain in the ass. You gotta sort and collect pieces of trash and then drive them out to the recycling center, which seems to be closed all the time, only to get enough money to buy half a gallon of gas. It almost seems pointless, but remember the real reason for recycling isn't for the lose change, but for the future of our planet.
Cities should make it easier for us to recycle, but that probably won't happen for a while so until then we should ask ourselves what we can do about this problem. It's up to us!
