I remember when D’angelos “How Does it Feel” video came out. It was my senior year of college, and if you mentioned it to any woman on campus she would instantly acquire this distant glazed over look in her eyes, there would be a small hint of drool at the corner of her mouth and she would begin to babble incoherently about “The V”.

I specifically remember a small group of us gathered around a first generation iMac watching it on who knows what, but watching the video in complete silence, until the camera panned downward over the abs, over the v and almost to the…eh hem, and we all gasped in sheer and utter delight.

In short it was a pretty perfect video. For women at least.

Now I know that since the release of this video, D'Angelo is no longer in posession of the "V" (tho he may have been found to be in posession of a few other things), however I do no find that this detracts from the close to legendary status of this video.

That is why I found the extensive library of youtube parodies of this video to be absolutely hilarious.
To think, anyone could imagine that they could live up to the precedent set by D’angelos “V”.
Aiee pleez.
And just the thought that some guy was like, “I’m think I’m sexy, and my abs are ill son, therefore, I should make my own “How Does it Feel Video.” And actually took the time to carefully shoot himself from the “V” up just really tickles my funny bone.
Now as I was writing this I realized it might not be a good idea to post videos of the parodies I found. Some eyes might be sensitive to them. Plus I wasn’t sure if I’d get in trouble for lewd postings. So I’m just putting the links to my top three favorite videos.

No 1:
The first 30 some odd seconds of this are hysterical to me. Beware watching past that. You might want to skip the end if you’re faint of heart. Notice the dueling banjo pecs, the excessive licking of the lips, the faces made during bad lip syncing, and the lack of an amazing “V”.

No 2:
I think it’s awesome that you can see his BVD’s, but crack is whack. However, he gets extra points for the production quality. Who shot this? There were some nice zooms and pans on this one, and the lighting isn’t bad. How many bottles of baby oil do you think he used? Again, he is not a singer. Too bad.

This is pretty funny. It’s a group effort by a group pf young men, complete with tasty beverages and snacks. There are 4 D’angelos in this video. You just have to watch it.
