Ok, so im back, after 2 months, its been a while, but I have a good excuse for not staying in touch, I have been working, a lot thank god. Im always very grateful to be able to work and make a living. I remember many times struggling in the past to make ends meet and praying for something to come my way just to make it through the day, not to say that things are perfect now cause I don’t take anything for granted, for now things seem to be fine and im always working towards a brighter future, but, I’m always aware that I could be struggling and out of work and homeless like the best of them. Sometimes its just so hard to stay afloat let alone live life the way we are intended to. Since music is the only thing I know how to do , I tend to wonder what would be of my life had I not been so stubborn and actually listened to my mother and grandmother and followed through in school and become a lawyer like my uncle !!! sometimes I wonder why I chose music. Maybe it was cause of my father , or lack of, for that matter. Music seems to be a gateway of sorts that connects me to him. Or maybe I was just too lazy to study anything else, and music was fun and cool, who knows I made my choice. Funny how the road ahead of you seems to narrow as you make your choices in life. I seem to forget all the possibilities out there and how much life has to offer. Then once I made that choice of becoming a musician, I realized that its not all fun and games, and that music has its own price if taken seriously, one I gladly pay. Usually its choosing between being a GREAT musician with very little or no life outside of music, or a good enough musician with somewhat of a life. Im just speaking for myself here and my own personal experience, but I enjoy life too much to spend my days locked up in a room for hours bettering my craft, or again im just lazy. Whatever the case I do love music, no matter what excuses I make for myself. And most important of all I love sharing music with others. Bottom line.
