After lounging out in South Beach all day, I went back to the room to freshen up. As fate would have it I was offered some tix to the sold out Juanes concert at the American Airlines arena. Talk about getting hooked up. Juanes was actually in town to do a couple of sold out dates. I got to the show just as Juanes was taking the stage.

The energy was crazy. The whole arena was singing along. The sea of gente was definitely having a great time. I had to get all the way down to the floor level. It was a nice little work out. Good thing I hit the bar first para un refresquito. I needed another one by the time I got to my seat.

I got to my seat. The floor was shaking from the music and all the gente, the energy was insane. Who isn't a fan of Juanes? He's truly an artist's artist. He perfectly balances commercial success with social relevance. If I can attain a small fraction of the success and impact this man has had, I'm good.

Look guys, Juanes!! Talk about consistency. Every song was a hit. From "A Dios Le Pido" to "Camisa Negra" to his current "Me Enamora", I'm sure lots of gente didn't have a voice the next day from singing along. I was there as fan but also taking notes on his stage presence, his connection with the crowd, his overall showmanship.  

There we were in the midst of tens of thousands of gente yet it really did feel like an intimate engagement. I had a blast! You need to catch Juanes' "La Vida es un Ratico" tour when it comes to your town. Music that entertains and inspires, what a novel concept. The show ended close to midnight. It was time to hit South Beach.

As I tried to exit the building, I was rushed by security for what they described as being too feo! Na, our lovely security women were sweethearts and made our concert experience GREAT! We took some pics and were on our way! Miami is always good to me but I had to get back to Cali so until next time, adios!! Que siga la leyenda!
