Mi Gente,

I just got back from Nueva York. We were greeted by 6-8 inches of snowfall. New York always recharges my battery as far as the energy and grind of the city. My producer and manager Brett and Sean Bouldin are originally from Brooklyn so it's my second home. Exactly 3 years ago we took off to Brooklyn to test our music. We were embraced!! After proving ourselves of course. This was before the deal! Now here we are back promoting my major label debut "La Leyenda Continua"!!

Here I am in my wannabe B-Boy stance!! Look Mama snow!!! I'm actually in front of my East Coast Mama's house, Brett and Sean's Mother, Sandra. We always try and stay here atleast a part of our trip to remind us of were it started. She lives in Brownsville, East NY Brooklyn!!! Not for the faint of heart. Staying in the city and doing the Manhattan thing is cool but walking to the Bodega at 2 am with the 3 train passing overhead, now that's inspiring!!

The thing about NY that does it for me is everything is a train ride away. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Cali kid but I could do with no Cali traffic. Here we are waiting for the 3 train to the city. You see the Rocakaway sign behind my team from l-r, Brett B, Sean B and Juan Barajas!! We had some amazing power meetings. To go from the projects of Brooklyn to the highrises of Manhattan and kill a meeting or interview in a boardroom then come back to the hood is a beautiful thang. From the barrio to the coporate level!!!

"It was all a dream..." Now I spend nearly as much time in NY as I do in Cali. Not bad for a small town kid from Coachella!! 3 years ago we set out to spread our music. Our music is now a movement!! So many get weeded out by the challenges, the heartache, the failures, the doubt, the fear, the sacrifices but hey if it was that easy, everyone would conquer the world!!! Amor, fe y ganas!!!
