Mi Gente,
I'm on the promo campaign and was honored to get the invite to come through The World Famous Wake Show! It's an internationally syndicated Hip-Hop show hosted by the legendary Sway (who is now also at MTV News) and King Tech. The show airs live here in L.A. on Power 106 then is broadcast to the world!!

The Wake Up Show is broadcast to 11 million people in 3 countries weekly. It represents all the elements of Hip-Hop to a cult like following. Known for putting MCs on the spot and on the M.I.C. MCs better come prepared to spit! As soon as I sat down and said Hola, DJ Revolution started the instrumental and I was escupiendo fuego if I may say so myself. To be Mexicano and spitting in Spanish on the show is testament to how far the culture has progressed.

King Tech started The World Famous Wake Up Show in 1991 after winning a DJ battle in the Bay (N. Cali). The winner got the chance to spin on the local radio station and the rest is history. King Tech and Sway have been proponents of Hip-Hop culture taking their show to the international level. It's a dream come true just to say I freestyled live on their show given their history. All my Hip-Hop heads know the deal.
I was with some distinguished guests, the Grammy winning super producers, The Avila Brothers. These two Mexicanos and California natives have a resume of the who's who in today's music scene. They've produced for the likes of Usher, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson and Aretha Franklin. They've been frequenting the show making beats on the spot to classic Hip-Hop acapellas!! Do I hear a Mal/ Avila Brothers collabo??

Another distinguished guest was another super producer, Focus. A member of Dr. Dre's Aftermath in-house production team he's also produced for a who's who in the game like The Game, Tony Yayo, Beyonce, Usher and Chino XL. He's also one of the producers working on Dr. Dre's highly anticipated album, Detox. He was making beats on the spot and I got to flow on one. I actually have a collabo with my boy Chino XL that Focus produced for his upcoming Pac Records/Machete release!!

Shouts out to my boy Joey Castillo of Hi Def Media. He manages the Compas Sinful and Sick Jacken among others. To our girl Carmelita Sanchez who is part of The Wake Up Show and a Malverde supporter from day one!! DJ Revolution for cutting them records to shreds and of course to Sway and Tech for the love!! Real recognize real!!! La Leyenda Continua in stores now!!!
