Mi Gente,

We recently had the official NYC unveiling of the new "La Leyenda Continua" album cover and the premiere of our new video "Aqui Estamos" featuring Aro Sanchez both by legendary Hip-Hop photographer/ Filmmaker and fellow SiTV blogger, Daniel Hastings. We also took this opportunity to preview the album for all our NY peeps. Fittingly, we held the event at the legendary Fight Klub studios in Manhattan.

As NYC's Latino Entertainment Industry's finest poured in and mingled, ate and drank the moment arrived. Daniel Hastings, who put the party together for us said a few words. He called this album cover one of his favorites, a true compliment when you know this man's work. He cued the video and the crowd's eyes where all on the flat panel as "Aqui Estamos" blared through the speakers.

The video was shoot in Brooklyn and L.A. It basically reflects how whether you're Mexicano or Dominicano, from the East or the West, the Projects or the Barrio it's the same struggle, the same cause. We has a lot of fun shooting this video capturing the essence of both coasts. It's a real slick street video. My boy, mi pana, Aro really put it down for me on this one.

After the video and photo shoot behind the scenes finished the countdown started. 10-9-8-7-... The crowd chanted with us until the magic moment when Danny and I lifted the veil and revealed the new cover to a sea of cheers and applause. It was surreal and as you can see above, yes, I had a moment.

Once I regained my composure I thanked everyone for coming out, my team MumMumMusic and B&G Ent, and of course Danny for blessing us with his great talent. It was very humbling to become part of the historic collection of album covers that he's shot. Covers of Hip-Hop albums that helped shape the artist and MC I am today. Gracias Danny!!!!

We shot the cover in the California/Arizona desert near my hometown of Coachella. It was truly special to go back home and do this shoot. The small town kid returning home after going out and making it really felt good. Danny really did his thing with this one as with all his covers. It really captures the essence of the album and the title "La Leyenda Continua".

Did I mention East NY, Brooklyn was in the house?? Pictured above with Brett B and me are Chill Will, Montero Ent., Moreno, C-Rock and his lil Bro!!

Dare I say the event prompted a temporary cease fire between bitter rivals and fellow SiTV Bloggers Latin Daddy pictured above and Danny Cash. The tension was high but they agreed to resume their battle after the event. To Every one's dismay Latin Daddy left his Hammer pants at home.
