Mi Gente,

I had the honor of being asked to MC the Heineken Estrella Bash- A Noche Latina Celebration for BMI Latin Grammy Nominees. The Pre-Grammy party was held at Club Jet at The Mirage. SiTV, Mentos and Maxim en Español were also sponsors for the night. Above my "Entourage" , the homies from L to R Bill Sanchez, Zeke Franco, Juan Barajas and Alex Barajas came out to Vegas to celebrate with me.

Ummmmm......

As I walked the Heineken "Green" carpet I was interviewed by SiTV's own sexy Carmen. You know only Carmen could make me dumb out and make that goofy face. She asked me some questions of a sexual and provocative nature. The rest is captured in this pic courtesy of nochelatina.com

Once I recomposed myself, some cold water to the face did the trick, it was time to get the party started. Three unsigned acts which competed online won the chance to open up the show. With the industry heavyweights in attendance it was an opportunity of a lifetime. Their performances were great!

Once the crowd was warmed up we moved on to the headlining acts of the night, nominees Alejandra Alberti and Kinky. Alejandra Alberti, nominated for best new artist, did an incredible acoustic set. Kinky, nominated for best alternative group, brought the house down with their eclectic fusion of rock, cumbia, electronica and regional Mexican. It's really hard to categorize.

After their performances I did a lil guest hosting for my SiTV peeps. Alejandra Alberti was a sweetheart. She's a Cubana-Mexicana born in Nashville but raised and still based out of Miami. We're going to be seeing lots more of this talented singer/songwriter.

It was truly a magical night. We gathered for a photo op in the green room. Pictured above we have Kinky, myself and BMI Latin's Porfirio Piña and Marissa Lopez. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas so I can't tell you what happened after this party or the next day at the Latin Grammy awards and after parties. It was a blast!!!
