My people, mi gente…As you all saw in my little youtube interview with Notch, I was @ Calle Ocho helping to Supersize Pitbull’s stage.  I was on the job with Eg Radio (www.egadioonline.com) and it was work, work, and work. I did manage to get kissed by the sun for a few minutes.

So, I was backstage at The Pitbull stage and it was a big deal because it was the first time in Calle Ocho history that an artist got to have their own stage. It was hot as hell and I was trying to enjoy the show from the front of the stage but then I had to run back to the back to catch the artists as they came off of the stage. I was trying to be easy and not work up a sweat since I had to be on camera. I finally couldn’t take the heat so I was easy while my homie Emma Ramos of E2K Magazine ran up on the artists and directed them my way as she stuffed an Eg Radio Flyer in their hand. Emma is La Jefa, no one says no to her, boogie down all day baby!  One by one the artists came by my spot to show love to Eg Radio and I was excited to know that we would be allowed to interview Pit-bull at the end of his performance.

Ok, as you can see from the main pic, I got the photo but the interview …*Sigh* let me explain.  Bueno, lo que paso fue que Senor Pit was about to perform when some girls in front of the stage got into a cat fight, it was ugly but that cooled down and he came out and ripped the stage and then another fight broke out and the barricades went down and people started wilding out and I got the hell outta dodge, it took me a minute since I was on the front side of the stage and the people started trying to tear down the fence and another fight broke out on the side. Now I’m a lover not a fighter so I crossed the street and as I made my way to safety my homie Emma was calling me on my cell saying “ Lynx get outta there” and then I lost the signal. When I did see her she was ready to beat my ass. “ That interview ain’t that important girl, let’s go”. Then the helicopters came police cars lined the streets people with small children were the first to try to get out of the Malay. We hopped in a cab and nervously laughed about the situation but it was scary. I love my hip hop pero konio! Anyways I got some fun photos with Sito Oner Rock and Dj Laz , Jimmy Flavorr , Dj Sincero, Rayvon and Lboogs and my Egradio fam and my girl Emma in other words (with everyone but Pitbull) and that’s all right with me. Did I mention Pitbull kept right on performing and he left TODO EL MUNDO CON LA LENGUA AFUERA!!
