CONTENDER READY!?!? GLADIATORS READY!?!?
It all started in the Gladiator Arena. I post this for those who do remember; for those who can identify with a time that matched younger brothers vs. older brothers, our block vs. your block, my ‘hood vs. your ‘hood against each other in contests of strength, agility, and maybe…ahem, resources? (I had a lot of pillows at home).
NBC has revived American Gladiators! To air Mondays @ 8ET/PT, check your local listings…BUT>>>Tell me you don’t remember gathering all the pillows together, tennis balls, baseball bats, rocks, helmets, pots and pans…whatever available to suffice our competitive travieso nature growing up.
Believe me, I am very excited about this…but really, I don’t expect much. I don’t expect it to be what it once was, I am different now. I guess we all are, and so many things are not as great as their original when flashing back (BAD SEQUELS: Weekend at Bernie’s 2, **George Bush’s 2nd term)
To NBC, thank you for bringing back the Joust, Assault, Hang Tough, Powerball & The Eliminator…all of which I am still the undisputed champion from the city of South Gate, welcoming all contenders.
-Luis Iglesias (FEEL IN YOUR GUT WHAT YOU ARE) **NOTE: the prequel & original equally not fresh

Hulk Hogan calling everyone "brother" 500 times forced my ears to bleed... and then I changed the channel lol
Ahh yes...who could forget Lace, Malibu and the eliminator!! What a great show...as for the new version...pretty lame.
ahhahah The joust sticks were my favorite!!!
OMG! Im so glad I wasnt the only one re-creating american gladiator at home!

I meant to watch, and I forgot. How was it?
Ah...It's like the early 90s all over again. They gotta bring back those silly obstacle courses and those joust sticks with the pillows on the end. LONG LIVE THE GLADIATORS! 300 ain't got nothing on them!
