The Social www.thesocial.org (407) 246-1419 54 N. Orange Ave. Downtown Orl Fl.
Calling all breakers and lovers of funk/hip hop/underground/jazz/house. Check out “Phat –n- Jazzy” with DJ BMF/DJ Slack/Orlando’s MC Swamburger www.myspace.com/swamburger “Real music that you can feel running through your veins”. No cover & drink specials all night. This place is insane. With old theater atmosphere, brick walls, art in the ceiling and a stage with a dance floor. This establishment has a capacity of 450 people.
On the dance floor b-boys (break dancer) had the linoleum out in the dance floor showing of their moves. Eric S. from Lost thought Ent could he no longer contain his excitement and to jumped in the circle to break dance. One of the b boys apparently did not want his night to end. When the linoleum was been put away as they where folding the linoleum the b boy continue dancing on it. Talking about determination.
If you are not on the dance floor you find yourself at the art explosion on the second level looking at the display of paintings from local artists including the graffiti artist.
What is great about “Phat –n-Jazzy” at The Social is that is not just for artist and dancers to have freedom to express. Local charities like Rock for Hunger can have a voice as well.
