I have quite a few amigos that got more melanin than me. In the past some have told me that it's cool if I use the "N word," it's only a problem when others aside from Blacks and Latinos use it. I never understood that rationale since that word is still a negative friggin word. So with Nas' Untitled album, formally titled Nigger, dropping today I decided to see which rappers of Latino decent could legitimately get away with saying the word that is usually rhymed with trigger, bigger, etc.
Joell Ortiz "125 Pt. 1": "Some niggas is crazy and some niggas m.o./ Some niggas is lazy and some niggas just won't stop workin' till they get what they deserve ya know! / That nigga is Jo e double l Ortiz/ Pa' please you one match in the snow"
Jesus says: The Brooklyn bomber is a Puerto Rock with ebony features so he should get a pass.
Fat Joe "The Crackhouse": "You flow cold but Joe flow sicker/ Even Reverend Al be like, ‘Joe's that nigga!'
Jesus says: Joey is as white as Christina Aguilera but has been a repeat offender in dropping the N-word for years. He gets a pass simply on street cred.
Jim Jones "Pour Wax": "You don't want it with them niggaz/ While you niggaz steady bitchin' my niggaz gettin' richer"
Jesus says: The Harlem representer gets a pass; he's a halfsie but rarely waves his Puerto Rican flag.
Pitbull "305": "Little did he know he created a monster/ Pitbull nigga I'm that monster/ D.B. them chicos is monsters/ Lil Jon that niggaz a monster"
Jesus says: Pit does his best to not use the N-word but he slips up at times. No pass; he's Cuban aka an undercover Republican.
Flex formally known as Nigga: No lyrics here but this Panamanian reggaetonero used to go by the N-word. Only recently did he change his name to Flex. This is what it says on his official MySpace: "Nigga Romantic style in the world."
Jesus says: Now I know why hip-hoppers hate reggaeton because of douches like this one.
PS: No one should really use the N-word. It makes you look like a slave master or a long lost member of the Nazi regime. In other words like a douche.
Uno,
Jesus
