I chatted with the talented Alanna Ubach a couple of weeks ago and she dropped some bicoastal gems on me. The L.A. actress/playwright is in NYC promoting her one-woman show Patriotic Bitch and we were talked about the differences between L.A. and NY (you can see the article here). The boricua/mejicana also told me that her mom had a chance to explore her boricuaness. See below. 

"The Puerto Rican Parade was going on and my mom came down and said, ‘I had the best time! Must of lost 20 pounds just walking down that street; it was 95 degrees. A fight on every damn corner; these Puerto Ricans are so loud and passionate. So sexy!'

PS: It was hella hot that day but when is fighting sexy? Well, maybe just mud wrestling.
