Okay this is the first blog for sitv and I'm recovering from a hangover, mind you its almost 11pm and I this is a hangover from last night. If anyone has gone through this or has any advice please share in response to this blog. So I went to Roxy's with my cousin Kathleen from Canada. Roxy's was free before midnight and being that its been a while since I fed my pockets I felt it was a good opportunity to spend some time with my cousin and save money. Kathleen is a Latin dance instructor from Montreal so I knew she'd like Roxy's.

We met up with Eric (mongu), Yani, Yani's nameless friend, Ryan and Jose. It was Reggaeton night and ladies drank free until one. Though it was free before midnight, as is the custom of people of color, the crowd got their late around 12:30 knowing damn well they were trying to be there by 11:30pm (don't front we're all guilty of this). By that time it was dumb packed, but not too packed where you couldn't move. Roxy has arguably one of the best interior set ups of all the clubs in Orlando, especially since the remodeling last spring. The DJ booth sits high up on the south wall above three large screens; maybe I saw three screens because I was inebreated; but I remember three screens damn it! It one of those clubs where you don't have to be in VIP to have fun. Though it was Reggaeton night the DJ switched it up a little and played some Reggae and Hip Hop, both east coast and down south. The DJ also had the crowd in the palm of his hand pretty much, damn near turning it into a concert with the traditional call and response with the nationalities. One thing I noticed was that the crowd seemed mad young, I would say 19 was the median age. On the plus side the ratio of men to women was real good, no three leg party here. Everything winded down around 3am, our designated driver Eric took us home. There's nothing like drunk sleep...-Twist
