Rosie Perez Honors Latino NYC Students

This coming Wednesday (5/21) in the Bronx, NY the 20th anniversary of the Hispanic Achievement Award Gala honors the best and brightest Latino students. Presented by LatinoBaseball.com and Ralph Paniagua Inc., the event will have special appearances by Xtreme and Rosie Perez. The event honors 125 Latino students from the five NYC boroughs.
Then on May 24th the students will be once again recognized for their accomplishments on the field at the famed Yankee Stadium. Additionally, the award for "Outstanding Citizen" will be presented to Yankee player Robinson Cano for his involvement within the Latino community.
"In its history the Hispanic Achievement Awards Gala has had an array of speakers ranging from Latino astronauts, CEOs, doctors, and scholars who have all addressed the students," said Ralph Paniagua in a statement. "It's important for these students to see positive reflections of what they can achieve through education."
The Hispanic Achievement Award Gala takes place at the Bronx Supreme Court House, 851 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY on May 21st, from 6PM to 9PM.
