SOHH Soulful posted an interesting question today. They ask: Do you Latina R&B acts get their respect due? Hell nah, son. You say J. Lo! But she's in another playing field. She's a megastar and not a good singer at all. Acts like Nina Sky, Kat de Luna are good to look at but never get beyond a certain level of success. WTF? So are they only eye candy while white and black R&B acts get all the shine. Sheeeet! We've sure got rhythm and definitely catch the blues at times. Problem is the aforementioned acts (including new ones like Prima J) are too poppy to be considered R&B. We don't have a Latina Mary J. or a Latino Ne-Yo. How about Frankie J you ask? Truth is he should've stuck to the Latin market.
