Tonights episode of Dancing with the Stars was an interesting one. With a million viewers watching tonight Marie Osmand, an American actress, had just finished performing this weeks dance piece, the samba, when she fainted. The show quickly switched to commercials and when the show came back she was said to be alright.
This brings up the question of how hard are these celebrities working for a show where they are constantly dancing. It is not a surprise that eventually one of these celebrities would finally hit a point where it is just too much. But when is it too much, is it fair to have a 50 year old woman dancing her heart off in a energy taking dance like the Samba. Well today brought a huge question for the producers of Dancing for the Stars. When is it too much and where is the fine line between a good, entertaining show and a show that just asks too much of the talent.
I know for me as a dancer, weeks and weeks of practicing for several hours a day is tiring. There are times where I dont have the energy to continue and I'm a young adult. How can you ask someone older to perform the same?
