Como Les Va!!! I am so excited to share my experience with you of the JUANES concert. It gives such inspiration, love, hope, excitement, and of course a kick ass good time...
I went on Thursday, to the greatest arena in the world, Madison Square Garden in New York to see one of my favorite artists JUANES. He kicked off his US tour in NY and it was phenomenal. Artists usually say that the first couple of shows is like getting your feet wet because of the production, set, dancers, lighting, sound, the band, and feeling the whole image for the first time... Well, it felt like it wasn't his first concert. It felt like he was already on the road and in the middle of his tour doing his thing, with his music falling out of him... his prime... Imagine feeling that at his first concert for his new album “La Vida Es Un Ratico.” I was overwhelmed with joy, with respect, and with honor for him. He is truly an amazing musician, singer, artist, and performer.
He kicked off the show with “A Dios Le Pido” and sung his greatest hits like “La Camisa Negra,” “Gotas de Agua Dulce,” “Me Enamora,” “Minas Pierdas,” “Bailala,” and many more... It was great. He performed 20 or more songs. His energy was remarkable. The band and him kept going and going. There were no loose hands. The transition from song to song never lost energy. On one particular song – where it ended – the guitarist did a chromatic scale going into the next song– it was so cool.
Juanes' vulnerability and humbleness for his art showed that night. He performed to full house packed audience. It gave me such a great feeling to hear people singing and knowing all the words to his songs. His smile was so cute. :0) I could feel the risk, the love, the preparation, the energy, the confidence of his being. Someone told me when he first started and when he first came to this country, he came with $4000.00 dollars and it lasted him a whole year. He would buy a sandwich and eat half for lunch and half for dinner. He never gave up and look where he is now. Juanes is one of the top Spanish artists in the Latin Market and you know what– God Bless Him... He truly deserves it :0) I hope and definitely am praying that I can work with him one day. Wow wow wow :0) I truly recommend going to his concert– you will love and enjoy it so much... :0)
Also, I have great news speaking of MSG, on This Sunday, March 16th, 2008, I am singing the National Anthem for the NY Knicks basketball game. I am very excited, nervous, and honored. But most of all I am very grateful that my music is coming along great. I couldn't ask for more.

Great review! There's nothing like a good concert where the musician is true and humble.
