Have You Met...

Memoirs De La Cantante (Part 1)

Hola mi gente,

Como estas? GO GIANTS!!!!! I know everyone watched the Super Bowl last Sunday. The game was incredible! Both teams really fought ‘til the end and showed incredible passion, guts and hard work…. My friends… if that doesn't show the risk people can take in their lives - I don’t know what will. The last minute of the game was truly history in the making!! The Patriots were leading and within seconds an incredible play was run and there it was – VICTORY – the Giants had earned the title of Super Bowl Champs!

Throughout the week I read several articles about the players and their individual accomplishments as well as their personal journey’s to the super bowl. One person that really made an impression on me was Eli Manning…. not only is he an amazing quarterback but he’s also a great person (did i mention he's so adorably cute.. lol)… I give him props for never giving up and fighting ‘til the end despite what people were saying. He played with all his heart & soul and it prevailed….

I read that when he first started playing with the Giants there was lots of negativity and doubt about his abilities to execute plays and lead his team to the ultimate victory. Everyone acknowledged that he had raw talent, but no one really believed in him - they didn't think he had enough heart, the balls or the guts... to lead his team & get them to the next level.”

Here’s one word I’m sure a lot of people can relate to including myself -- "DOUBT"..... that word should be taken out of the English language!!! Well he sure proved everyone wrong and it showed in Sunday’s game ;)

On a personal note - I can relate to Eli Manning’s experiences – when people don’t have there complete faith and trust in you. I've been developing my craft, my personality – working on developing and growing as an artist for the past 7 years & its been a rollercoaster of emotions... however, there has never been a doubt in my mind that I would have the chance - the opportunity to go all the way and fulfill my dreams just as the Giants have….. At this point there is no turning back for me… I don’t have the choice NOT to make it…I have worked to hard and overcome too many obstacles to fail. I am and will be committed to my craft until the end. When I decided not to go to college and pursue my recording career – In my heart I knew that this was the right choice for me despite what my friends and family thought – yes – even my loved ones DOUBTED my talent (lol). But in my heart, I knew that something greater was in store for me… I was ready to take that risk and challenge myself. Throughout this whole process I have had the honor to perform at Madison Square Garden (twice I might add ;) ,Calle Ocho, Miami Fashion Week as well as travel all over the world….

I guess what I’m trying to say is that it all boils down to BELIEVING IN YOUR SELF - ALWAYS and having the courage to see it through to the end despite what negativity surrounds you….

So as you read and partake in my humble journey - I WISH for all of you to have the same drive, vision, faith, courage and passion to make your dreams a reality– whatever they may be – what is living life to the fullest without taking chances… that would make us cowards….

I know at times life can be a bitch…. Things can feel sooo overwhelming and you lose hope – but at the end of the day we have to pick ourselves up and “brush it off our shoulder’s” and reignite our belief in ourselves – otherwise who will????

Anyways, I hope everyone is doing well and I’m really looking forward to getting to know all of you personally.. I'm working on some great ideas as to how we can keep in touch.. so I’ll keep you posted :)

Well nos vemos... for all you lovebirds out there.. Happy Valentine’s day .. Un abrazo y besos para ti!

Tu Amiga,

Cynthia
