This is just a short recap on some of the stories I've written about in the past few months.  I thought you might want to know how some of our Hollywood faves and felons are doing so here is a recap on just a few...

Don’t you just love it when a judge decides to make “an example” out of somebody for the rest of the population to take notice?  That is what happened to Wesley “Blade” Snipes on the tax evasion charge.  Wesley was charged on three counts of failing to file tax returns and was given the maximum sentence, which is 3 years in jail.  The judge could have just fined him, which is what most people end up receiving and let’s face it, is much better for the economy.  But I really think there was just a bit of racism going on in this judgment.  I am not the type of person who is always claiming the racist card in trials but if it had been Patrick Swayze or even another black actor such as Denzel Washington do you think the judge would have thrown the book at him?  I don’t think so.  Luckily, the judge did recently grant Snipes bail until his appeal goes through.  We’ll see what happens at the appeal.  Hopefully he’ll just have to pay a fine because I really think he was rail-roaded.  Yeah, he screwed up and should pay up, but I don’t think he deserves to go to jail for 3 years for it.  And speaking of jail time…

What has Nick Bollea a.k.a. Nick Hogan, son of famed wrestler Hulk Hogan been doing since crashing a car that left his friend John in a coma and vegetative state?  Well, Nicky plead guilty and was sentenced to 8 months in the pokey.  Since starting his sentence he has done nothing but cry and whine to his parents about his lawyer duping him and if he known prison would be so hard he would have risked going to trial.  He also complained to his mom of his cell being “like half the size of my bathroom.”  Gee, really Nick? I always got the impression that prison cells were palatial estates with gorgeous women around to serve your every whim.  What a douche!  While Nick is serving a measly 8 months in jail, John Graziano is serving a life sentence.   Doctors say he will probably never recover from the vegetative state he is in and who does the great Hulk Hogan blame it on?  Recently he told Nick that God laid some "heavy s**t"on him (John) because of things that he was "into."  And Nick agreed, saying John was a negative person.  Wow, I guess that goes to show all you “glass half empty” people.  You better change your ways or you might end up in a sorry state, especially if you are ever friends with the Hogans.  I would hope that Nick would learn something while in jail, but since he doesn’t consider himself at fault for the accident or John’s condition I don’t think anything positive will come of this experience.  I just hope that John’s family gets as much money as they can in a civil trial.

And speaking of civil, looks like Britney and K-Fed are on much more civil terms these days.  They are on much better speaking terms with K-Fed calling her his “lady” and Brit saying she “loves” him when she ends a call.  Britney has even cleaned up her act to the point where a month ago a judge granted her 3 days of supervised visitation a week.  Of course she then went to Costa Rica for two weeks with Mel Gibson, but hey, everyone needs a vacation right?  Maybe now that she is back and rested she can get back to parenting and doing what she did best.  Oh wait that might not be such a good idea since drinking, smoking, eating Cheetos and procreating seemed about all she did well.  Ok, maybe she can just hang out with her two little boys for awhile and get to know them.
