It took Michael Jordan 28 years to lead his team into the NBA Finals by finally getting by the World Champion Detroit Pistons….It’s taken Le Bron James 22years.

I’ve watched Jordan play in awe many a time and even saw him play live but I have to admit that I was a “witness” (like his commercial says) to game 5’s Eastern Conference Finals performance against the Pistons in which Le Bron was simply AMAZING!!  He scored 48pts. and scored his teams last 29 of 30pts. in double and sometimes triple coverage to seal the deal.  I’ve NEVER seen anything like that in any sport!

I was also a “witness” to one of the greatest dunks I’ve ever seen.  LeBron over Duncan this year in one of their 2 head to head match-ups in which Cleveland prevailed in both.  (The video of the dunk is below)

That being said…Le Bron’s facing a Spurs team going for their 4^th championship in 9 years.  They have the most underrated coach in the NBA; Greg Popovich, a three headed monster in Duncan, Parker (is he one lucky man or what?  Can’t wait to see more of Eva Longoria), and Ginobli, Bruce Bowen is a defensive specialist, and Big Shot Bob (Robert Horry)!  It aint going to be easy but nothing worth having ever is!

So who’s going to win?  The Spurs in 6!!!  Tim Duncan’s a 2 time league MVP and 3 time Finals MVP and he’s not ready to hand the inevitable King James the crown just yet!

However, I’m rooting for James and the Cavs.  We all want to say we where a part of the best era in all of sports history.  And we just may be… in Football (Tomlinson and Manning) baseball (Pujols, A-Rod, and Bonds) boxing (Mayweather) even Golf (Woods) and Tennis (Federer and Nadal) but we have never really been able to say it in Basketball because of Michael…If Le Bron can get by the almighty Spurs w/ no help from his teammates (who are in awe themselves by his play) at the age of 22, we may just be able to.
