So my 1^st and last Yanks vs. Mets Game at Shea Stadium was last Saturday when the streaking Mets went head to head against the plummeting Yankees during inter-league play.  In a must win game (since they lost the night before 3-2) the Yanks played as if they were the Bad News Bears! (and I don’t mean the way the Bears played at the end of the movie either)

Wow!! What a painful game to watch.  Not only was it raining and FREEZING towards the end of MAY (I mean come on already) but the Yanks lost another starter due to injury. David Wright was hitting the ball about as good as my grandma and hit 2 HR’s! the Yankees made 3 “official” errors and are now 2-8 as of Tuesday against their biggest rivals the Mets and Redsox!

I have 2 admit though that the rivalry between the Yankees vs. Mets is quite intense!  The experience was similar to a Florida Gators vs. Florida State University College Football Game in which there is always plenty of liquor, swearing, and of coarse fighting!!

I’m an optimist either way and KNOW that soon our pitching will be back along with 2 surprise additions of rookie studs Phillip Hughes and Tyler Clippard who salvaged at least one game from the Mets the next night in his Major League debut!
