The Viper Room on Sunset is where it's at for great music. I've met some wonderful bands and artists there when I'm on the hunt for great musicians. Some of which I just meet within the audience. I've met the Idyllists, The Icarus Line, Major Grace, Lady Sinatra...all really awesome people!

Last Monday I came not knowing who was playing. But to my suprise I saw Dengue Fever. They are Cambodian pop-rock who sure have a sound as diverse as the group itself! Yes, they rocked.

Anyways, I'm glad that I'm going to the Viper Room more and more. It used to be that I stayed in the comfort of my hood (Echo Park/Silverlake/The Eastside) to catch good bands. But I'm digging the Hollywood scene. And it really helps when the venue is quite hospitable. Serious shoutout to Casper (the VIP bartender) and the doorman. Oh and the building manager who read my palm...haha now that's a story to tell :)

My next club to scope out in West Hollywood is The Cat Club. That'll be good especially for finding singer/songwriters...
